How advances.rent handles your data. The short version: we collect very little, and nothing on the public site identifies you personally.
We collect as little as we can. Reading the guidance on advances.rent asks nothing of you - no account, no sign-up, no personal details. The only information we gather from visitors is anonymous, and none of it identifies you.
Where a letting agent runs a short survey on advances.rent, your answers are stored without your name, email, or any contact details - they are anonymous market signal, and we have no way to trace an answer back to a person. Beyond that, we collect no personal information from people reading the site.
The public pages set no advertising or tracking cookies. We measure how the site performs using privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies and do not build a profile of you. A small number of essential cookies are used only when a member of our own team signs in to manage the site.
We do not sell personal data. We use a small set of trusted suppliers to host and run the site, and they only handle data on our instructions. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Under UK data protection law you have rights over any personal data an organisation holds about you. Because the answers we hold are anonymous, we usually cannot link them to you to act on a request - but if you have any question about your privacy, email us at hello@advances.rent and we will help.
