Housing allowance

Housing allowance is the most that benefits pay towards a tenant's rent each month.

In the Brecon and Radnor area: £332.41 for a room in a house share, £340.00 for a 1-bedroom home, £440.00 for a 2-bedroom home, £550.00 for a 3-bedroom home, £650.00 for a 4-bedroom home.
In the Neath Port Talbot area: £375.00 for a room in a house share, £411.67 for a 1-bedroom home, £450.00 for a 2-bedroom home, £500.00 for a 3-bedroom home, £575.00 for a 4-bedroom home.
In the North Powys area: £293.30 for a room in a house share, £325.00 for a 1-bedroom home, £400.00 for a 2-bedroom home, £550.00 for a 3-bedroom home, £675.00 for a 4-bedroom home.

Rents

The average rent here is £621 a month, up 9.1% on a year before.

1 bedroom: £462 a month
2 bedrooms: £578 a month
